What is Acupressure Seated Massage?
Seated Acupressure which is also referred to as on-site or chair massage is a blend of the ancient oriental massage arts of Anma and Shiatsu.
Seated Acupressure massage is a meridian based therapy in which thumb, finger, elbow and knuckle pressure are used over the many acupressure points on the 12 major meridians of the body.
The techniques used clear and balance the energy lines which in turn allows the life-force to run efficiently throughout the body. This then allows for all the systems of the body to work in greater harmony. The techniques promote the release of endorphins and leave the client feeling good and in a relaxed state but also energised and in a clear and focused frame of mind.
Treatments can last from 10 minutes to 30 minutes but 15 to 20 minutes makes for a good treatment and is ideal for the workplace environment where employees will benefit immediately from this quick, dynamic de-stressing therapy which will allow them to return to their work station infused with a new energy.
The ergonomic design of the chair is easily portable and supports the client’s body in total comfort, allowing the therapist easy access to the client’s acupressure points. No clothes are removed and no oil is used.
